Every year the cold weather rolls in and instead of packing up my summer wardrobe, I begin to layer it extensively. Here's my go-to for how to keep your heavenly style even when, baby, it's cold outside.

1.)

TIGHTS ON TIGHTS

It's a very angelic thing to do~ to have more mini skirts and dresses in your closet than pants. This is not a flaw per sé, but rather just an opportunity to transform summer silhouettes into cold-weather staples. I can hardly think of anything cuter than full body tights with thigh or knee highs layered on top. And not just cute, but if styled with the right pair of tights can actually keep you warmer than those breezy baggy pants.

2.)

THE COZY SWEATER

Pairing my mini dresses with an ultra cozy sweater styled over top and thigh highs or tights is the perfect way to make my summer dress become a winter dress. I usually choose a sweater with intricate details, soft-to-touch, and extra long sleeves to make it my perfect pair.

3.)

WEAR IT WITH PANTS

This look is on the rise and I am fully embracing it. There's no more comfortable and warm way to wear my dresses and skirts than to style them with a pair of slinky black pants. I've been wearing the Classic Kitty Foldover (an absolute new FAV) under all my minis and feeling like a chic, baby angel all winter long.

4.)

HOT SHORTS OVER LEGGINGS

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer wearing my hot shorts in the winter over the summer. There's something so exactly right about having a pair of leggings or tights underneath. It's my go-to look for still having that carefree, feminine appeal when it's too cold to show a little skin.

5.)

THE PERFECT BLACK COAT

Knowing what pieces are worth investing in your wardrobe is something that's not talked about enough. Do not spend your precious coins on something you will wear once, but a perfect black coat is an investment that you will always be happy you made. I prefer one that has a little character, a little pom-pom or fluff~ something to give it a notable texture.
